Because the virtual world should be a safe place both for children and adults. The web should be a container of information where young people can get to know and experience new things.
If action is not taken to maintain safety, it can become a trap for young people (and adults) who are confronted with negative phenomena that they would not encounter so easily in real life.
For this reason, in Türkiye a free service was launched in 2011, which primarily filters harmful content from the internet for children and young people, and then for the whole society: Safe Internet Service.
It’s a preventive service that anyone can use. This is also a precaution. It’s worth trying, it’s free, and it’s also an advantage that it can be active and passive whenever desired.
